Danby Lodge

the house

Danby Lodge is set deep within the Forest of Dean in a secluded, commanding position overlooking thousands of acres of forest. It is a Grade II listed, six-bedroom Lodge, originally built by order of Charles II, on the recommendation of Samuel Pepys. With 2 acres of its own grounds, Danby Lodge enjoys stunning scenery and views in a tranquil, and private setting, away from roads and surrounded by wildlife and forest walks. Danby Lodge is surrounded by dry stone walls and fences with electric gates at the entrance for privacy and security. The grounds contain a heated outdoor swimming pool, mature gardens, wild areas and private woodland, a wild pond and a carp pond. Danby Lodge really is the perfect luxury holiday rental in the Forest of Dean.
